FCTV's Objectives are to:

• Promote in the community, the sense of self reliance and organization in order to identify, discuss and address environmental/ developmental problems.
• Promote Environmental Education in both formal (the nursery, primary, secondary and tertiary levels) and informal (community Based Organisation – CBOs; Common Intiative Groups ( CIGs); NGOs; Local Councils; Government institutions etc) sectors.
•  Facilitate identification and support to the development of income generating activities to improve living conditions of the local people.
• Facilitate identification of training needs and address them through capacity building and targeted training interventions.
• Promote integration of field realities into environment policies for regular improvement.
• Promote stakeholder discussion for efficient collaboration and coordinated development.
