Project staff from FCTV recently participated in an exchange visit to Uganda from the 2nd-7th october 2011,  where they were able to learn from their Ugandan counterparts about the different activities being carried out under the ‘Waste to Wealth’ project in Uganda.  In particular the participants learned about how Ugandans are making fuel…

FCTV, in partnership with LEF, organised a round table in Lomie on the 28th September 2011 which brought together 20 Baka leaders and representatives from civil society organisations.  The purpose of the round table was to discuss mechanisms for increasing Baka participation in decision-making…

On 20th and 21st September 2011, Douala City Council (CUD) organised a Sustainable Development workshop at the Salle des Fetes in Akwa, Douala.  The purpose of the workshop was to bring together different associations and NGOs that are working to promote development in Douala and to give these groups the opportunity to showcase their work.  FCTV's stand which provided information about the Waste to Wealth project attracted a lot interest.

On 22nd September 2011 FCTV organised a multi-stakeholder workshop at Douala City Council to present the findings of a review on Public-Private Partnerships in Cameroon and in Douala in particular. FCTV had commissioned the review in order to identify the policy context for formulating PPPs in Cameroon, the barriers and challenges that PPPs face, and to document examples of local government outsourcing and partnering for service delivery.
